I finally found really good soul food. Stop in for lunch and didn’t realize they had so much. U.S. Farm Raised Fried (whole, filet and steak) catfish, big bone buffalo, chittlins, hog maws, turkey necks, neck bones, baked chicken and too much more to add. I got turkey necks, greens and black eye peas. The turkey necks were nice and seasoned. The greens and peas tasted like they were straight from the garden. I also got a small thing of chittlins. They were seasoned and clean. The staff were polite and fast. Everyone calls you baby lol. Some things are everyday and some are not. But I will be back several times.

I absolutely love this place. They have very good food. Whether it is breakfast, lunch, or dinner. The employees are friendly. And the owner Marvin, is very people friendly, and is definitely in the business of pleasing his customers. I wish that the place was a sit down establishment.

They have a lot to offer in that store. The food selection is pretty good too. They usually have different things on the menu each day but some days they have the same items. Today on the menu they have chicken wings, chicken and dumpling, hog mogs, neck bones, turkey necks, pig feet, baked chicken, meatloaf, ribs, pork chops and fried fish that you can pick as a meat and let me tell you, you get alot. Most plates start at $13.99 and that comes with two huge sides and either cornbread or roll. Two people can literally eat off one place. They go pretty fast and pretty quick in the line so don't stand there trying to take all day 😆. They remind me of country cooking or southern hands but they give way more food, have cheaper plates and stuff it fill. You Will not be disappointed. Now they always have a line but I will not recommend going between 12: 00 and 1 because that's their busiest hour but the line goes quick. I think they close around 2 or 230 but you can look online.

Simple honest good food. The meatloaf was really good and had a unique flavor, too much topping for my taste but easily removed. The green beans were awesome with a hint of spice, really unique and also really good. The dressing had a good flavor too but was a bit dry, the gravy on top was good but I would’ve liked quite a bit more to help with the dryness of the dish. Definitely worth another try and if I get the nerve up I’ll try some of the soul food dishes like the turkey necks; they were selling like hot cakes!

This restaurant is the perfect place for a taste of home cooking! I always get the fried catfish & it's always fried perfect. Always a golden flaky crust, so you know they change the oil frequently!
I have nothing but great things to say about all the food options & taste 😋 mmm mmm.
The peace cobbler & banana pudding is the icing on the cake!!
Btw, shout out to the cook & crew for ALWAYS being friendly (no attitudes here) & the music really make you feel at home as soon as you walk in.
Another trucker told me about this place & ever time I come to Memphis I must stop at Marvin's! I'm grateful there's room to pull my rig!
Back to the road 🚛💨
